Your Nature Daycare Lohbekpark in Lokstedt
Since November 2024, we have welcomed around 65 little chicks aged one to six years in our new Kita Lohbekpark in Hamburg-Lokstedt. Our unique concept combines nature, mindfulness, and participation into a place where children can play, learn, and grow in a warm, appreciative atmosphere.
The bright, newly designed rooms invite you to feel comfortable, while the lovingly designed nature-oriented outdoor area offers the perfect retreat in the middle of the city. Here, children can discover nature, have adventures, and simply be kids.
Our dedicated educational team accompanies each child individually and with heart. With a mindful eye on the children's needs, we create space for development and strengthen them on their way to becoming confident and creative personalities.

Activities
Excursions in the immediate vicinity, diverse projects around nature & sustainability, and the children's participation in planting raised beds foster creativity and environmental awareness among our children.
Nutrition
A shared breakfast, the daily snack break (afternoon snack), and freshly prepared, nutrient-rich organic meals according to DGE standards promote healthy nutrition, well-being, and community in the Kita day.
Raised beds
In their own garden, children experience how vegetables grow and learn about sustainable gardening. From sowing to harvesting, children experience the cycle of nature up close.

In our low-stimulus, bright rooms, our chicks find the perfect cozy spot for playing and discovering, along with many inviting opportunities with numerous cozy retreats for resting and reading.
Outdoor Area
Our outdoor area offers plenty of space for varied and creative play under the open sky & breaks from city life in nature. Climbing tower, tipi, barefoot path, or vegetable bed, there is something for every child and every individual developmental step.

Wir sind unglaublich dankbar für diese wunderbare Kita. Das gesamte Team – von der Leitung bis zu den Erzieher*innen – ist nicht nur professionell, sondern auch menschlich beeindruckend. Es herrscht eine liebevolle, geborgene Atmosphäre, in der man spürt, wie sehr das Wohl der Kinder im Mittelpunkt steht. Als Elternteil ist es nicht leicht, sein 13 Monate altes Kind in fremde Hände zu geben – aber hier fühlt es sich genau richtig an. Die Kommunikation über die CARE-App, das Whiteboard mit Infos zu Essen, Schlaf und Tagesverlauf sowie die liebevoll gestalteten „Week News“ mit Fotos und Aktivitäten geben uns jeden Tag ein gutes Gefühl und einen echten Einblick in den Kita-Alltag. Besonders schön finden wir die vielen Naturmomente draußen im Garten- und Sandkastenbereich – da entdeckt unser Kind mit Freude und Neugier die Welt. Die Gespräche mit dem Team sind immer offen, herzlich und auf Augenhöhe. Man spürt, dass hier Menschen arbeiten, die nicht nur einen tollen Job machen, sondern mit Optimismus, Einfühlungsvermögen und echter Herzlichkeit für die Kinder da sind. Fazit: Eine rundum fantastische Einrichtung, die wir wärmstens weiterempfehlen können.

Kita Lohbekpark is just a few minutes' walk from Hagenbecks Tierpark subway station (U2), where bus lines 22, 181, 281, 391, 392 stop. Bus line 181 also stops directly in front of the KITA at the Max-Tau-Straße / Lohkoppelweg stop. Thus, KITA Lohbekpark is easily accessible from Lokstedt, Niendorf, Stellingen, Eppendorf, Hoheluft-West, or Schnelsen. Whenever possible, we are particularly pleased if the way to us is made on foot or by bicycle.
